HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The Sorsogon State College (SSC) is the former Sorsogon College of Arts and Trades (SCAT), one of the oldest trade schools in the Philippines. It was established as Sorsogon Trade school in 1907 before it was renamed Sorsogon College of Arts and Trades. After 86 years of existence, the school was converted into a state college by virtue of Republic Act No. 7666, which was approved in December 31, 1993 by President Fidel V. Ramos. The main campus is located at Magsaysay Street, Sorsogon City.

  3. It’s really nice that the government and the private sector, especially NGO’s are tapping the network of students and continually advocate local youth empowerment to put forward social change.

    Sorsogon State College students are very fortunate to have attended a free training in search engine marketing conducted by SLTCFI!
